If you are looking for a luxury escape in Tulum with authentic touch @betulum is a real hidden gem. White sand beach, comfortable jungle suits , delicious restaurants , working with organic local products, amazing spa with yoga lessons almost every hour & great service.. all what you need for a perfect holidays in Tulum.

It was a fabulous trip rich with stunning natural beauty, luxurious accommodations and incredible service. The highlight of the holiday was the most relaxing and idyllic stay in a brand-new boutique hotel @xelatulum in Tulum Xela. With its only 12 luxury suites and very stylish boho chic design is a soulful retreat offering an authentic and warm hospitality experience and a feeling you are living in a private villa. Perfect for romantic getaways

The last destination of our Mexican holidays is amazing @belmondmaroma. I used to stay in different hotels of Belmond chain around the world, as well in South America, including chic @belmondcopacabanapalace in Brazil, @belmondhotelmonasterio in Cusco, iconic for Peru, fantastic @belmondhoteldascataratas by Iguazu Waterfall, hidden @belmondsanctuarylodge right by Machu Picchu, and must say it was always an unforgettable authentic experience. The new @belmondmaroma is a new jewel in the family. The attention to detail in the architecture and craftsmanship throughout the property is very impressive. The beach is spectacular and measures over a quarter of a mile from one end of the resort to the other. Pools are chic & hidden in the lush jungle. The vibe is very chill and private, with the most incredible service ever. You can dine in delicious restaurants serving fresh local Mexican food and enjoy a very luxurious Guerlain SPA with a wide choice of treatments. Honestly, just everything to the tiniest detail is perfect here. It’s also a family-friendly resort, so I would highly recommend @belmondmaroma, if you are planning a visit to Riviera Maya. It’s definitely an experience!

One of the most exciting adventures you can have in the Riviera Maya is swimming with turtles in Akumal.  It is definitely worth trying. Akumal is a bay with a huge concentration of sea turtles where they live peacefully in crystal waters of the Caribbean because there is a lot of food and the waters are very calm thanks to the reef protecting the bay. This also makes this place ideal for scuba diving and snorkeling.

Is it allowed to swim with turtles in Akumal and the Riviera Maya? This is the most frequent question from tourists visiting the Mayan Riviera. It’s worth knowing that in the beginning of 2007, the Office of the Prosecutor for Environmental Protection (PROFEPA) decided to temporarily suspend all activities related to swimming with turtles in Akumal. This decision was taken to protect and restore marine fauna and coral species, as the influx of tourists was very high at that time and the ecosystem here was suffering, as not everyone respected the restricted areas.

As of now, swimming with turtles in Akumal is allowed again, but access is limited to 12 people per day and only to tour companies that have all the necessary permits for this activity. Keep in mind that swimming with turtles is not available on Mondays and during the months of February and September. Entry to Akumal Bay is free, but note that you will need the necessary equipment and you will not be able to enter the restricted turtle swimming area, so the chance of seeing turtles is low as there is usually not enough food there, and turtles do not swim in those places.
