Misha, remembering the move of your family from the Czech Republic to America, you told how a little girl spent a lot of time on the beaches of California. Did childhood experiences give you a passion for traveling?
As a child, my family and I moved around a lot, so traveling to different places seemed normal. I believe it has greatly influenced my adult view of being on the road and traveling.
I like to get on a plane and travel to a new place. Also, I have a big sense of adventure and I love being outdoors – that was definitely instilled in me from childhood. I always asked my mom to take me to the beach and I really love nature.
In which countries do you like to vacation? Where else would you like to visit?
I love Australia, I spent a lot of time there. Now I want to return to this country and visit remote areas such as Broome – I also want to see the center of Australia, explore this land, get to know the culture and nature of this beautiful and unique country.
I also like to visit Europe, for example, to relax on the coasts of Croatia and Italy. And this summer you can find me on the Amalfi Coast.

You have managed to turn your hobby into a personal brand, Skova, which is very popular among beach lovers. Tell us how the idea of creating leisure accessories came about, and where can our readers see and purchase your product?
I wanted to bring something beautiful and luxe to the beach and accessories space. I spend so much time outdoors and I know there are other women like me. I felt that women would appreciate, love and want beautiful, quality products — like towels and umbrellas. I create unique and stylish products they’ll use while they’re experiencing sand and surf in stunning locations.
I say why not have something extra and comfortable that makes you feel good? My ambition is to create products that bring amazing comfort and original design to any adventure!
